About Khana Solutions

The Journey Begins...

Khana Solutions was founded in 2020 by two young professionals who strongly felt that small, medium and micro enterprises were underserved in regional markets.

With most funding programs and incubation initiatives not tailor-made to the local markets in which the SMMEs operate or designed to meet the specific requirements of SMMEs, the founders’ belief grew stronger as they learned more.

Driven by a passion to support SMME growth and develop robust, dependable and sustainable supply chains for large corporates, and aware of the considerable impact this can have on regional economies and the livelihood of many families and communities, the journey began.

Assisting SMMEs to grow, adopting sustainable business practices and providing access to cheap, easy and affordable capital (through the sister company Khana Capital).

Khana Solutions also provides:

Consultancy services for SMMEs, corporates and international investment partners. We provide advisory services to SMMEs free of charge alongside our public sector partners and consult with corporates on supply chain management.

International investors and provide on-the-ground insights to ensure any investment, channelled through Khana Capital, has the intended impact.

Khana Solutions management team have strong background in start-ups as well as considerable experience in strategy and operational roles at large corporates. This includes:

  • Founding, managing and exiting successful start-up business in eventing and mobile bars
  • Establishing and managing an e-Commerce business for a formerly listed furniture retailer with operations in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana into a profitable separate revenue centre
  • Migrating loan management software in the financial services sector successfully
  • Business consultancy support for local businesses in Khayelitsha, Cape Town through the Cape Town Graduate School of Business
  • Luxury Camp Management experience in the Okavango Delta, Botswana and hotel management experience at a hotel group in Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Compliance and business efficiency assessment services for a quarry and brick manufacturing plant
  • Background in Commercial Property and Facility Management for a listed company.

To put it simply – we have sat at both ends of the table (as SMME owners and as corporate executives) and understand business ecosystems through lived experience. We know what large corporates want and what SMMEs need across sectors.
