Theo Modise started his career as a factory engineer at Sharps Electrical before pursuing a Master in Business Administration at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
Theo Modise’s passion for business then saw him take on several roles as an operational manager, project manager and business strategist across a wide range of industries.
He was involved in reviewing and optimising the production process for a quarry and brick manufacturer in Gaborone, Botswana, and worked in the hospitality and tourism industry to improve operations for a hotel group and safari company in the Okavango Delta.
In 2015 Theo Modise co-founded an events management and mobile bar company. He grew this into one of Botswana’s biggest events companies, forging a strategic partnership with the world’s second largest seller of wines and spirits, before exiting and selling the company.
Before founding Khana Group, Theo Modise spent 7 years applying his trade in the tech space. In this capacity he has set up an e-Commerce and Value Add Service division for a formerly listed Furniture retailer with operations in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, and oversaw a leading Financial Services company migrate to a new loan management system.
We have sat at both ends of the table (as SMME owners and as corporate executives) and understand business ecosystems through lived experience. We know what large corporates want and what SMMEs need across sectors.
